This session explores pre-, during, and post-reading activities and projects that inspire students to communicate, collaborate, and create across all three modes of communication. Come learn practical strategies for integrating design-based pedagogies, 21st century skills, and various web 2.0 tools in ways that support students in becoming critical readers and effective interpreters of culturally authentic texts. A brief summary of findings from the qualitative study on which these strategies are based will also be provided.
